The Paradox of Dying and Seeding

October 23, 2022 By Vivi Leave a Comment

This is the Season to Trust the Seeds that are being Planted.

Fall is such a beautiful paradox. It’s both an awareness to death and decay and an ode to life.

It’s a season of both beauty and of decline.

The days grow shorter as we near the darkness of winter, but the winds of Autumn also scatter the seeds that will bring us new growth in the spring.

Trust the seeds that are being planted.

Transformation is an inner movement of the heart that forces us to face loss and death while at the same time being lifted by the hope of new life.

It’s the same as the paradox of dying and seeding of this season.

Sense into this metaphor…

Are you fixated on the surface appearance of decline and decay? Or, as you look more deeply do you see possibilities being planted, that may bear fruit in a season yet to come?

My gift to you this season is a tiny DIY Transformation Lab

DIY doesn’t mean doing it alone. Find a trusted friend or family member to cheer you on or decide to work with us through Within (U)niversity.

Connection is your superpower. I’m emphasizing this to highlight how critical it is for you to be connected to a buddy, to a single person, to at least one human that can be supportive of you as you move through this metamorphosis, this transformation into a new way of being.

If your immediate social circle isn’t championing your shift, the chances are you’re just going to revert back to your baseline. Your brain won’t let you grow out of those relationships.

It’s more important to your brain to belong than it is to learn and grow into that deeper sense of self you feel called to uncover. Maslow got it wrong. You need social connection more than you need food and shelter.

Neuroscientist Matthew Lieberman explains through his groundbreaking research, our need to connect with other people is even more fundamental than our need for food or shelter.

You can also work with me this season (we can begin as early as November 10th through the Spring on alternating Thursday evenings at 8 PM CST). To connect, please send me an email at vivian@viviancarrasco.com or book a call here: https://viviancarrasco.as.me/

or work with Within (U)niversity’s Coach in Residence (CIR) Sarah Dietman
