Today I’m sharing a lesson with you that I re-learned on the Oz Trail while I was mountain biking with my husband. I realized (from a direct experience) that if I stare directly at the obstacle in front of me without also looking ahead at where I want to go I’ll go directly into the obstacle I see. The experience itself was a wonderful reminder of how powerful my mind is and the thrill of letting go of my doubt and seeing what was possible.
My invitation for you today is to consider where your focus is.
Are you seeing your way through the obstacle in front of you or staring straight ahead at what’s keeping you stuck?
Keep an eye out in your email for our next Within (U)niversity journey….
In the same way that I was compelled to stare at the obstacle in front of me, in times of change, our attention is naturally drawn to problems (what’s not working), but that problem focus blinds us to what is working. In this journey we’ll train ourselves to change that and notice with curiosity and novelty.
I’m so excited to begin, I’ll share the details with you in a few days.
With all the love of the Ozarks,
Vivi
