| Hola querida(o), Lent is my favorite season, and I feel called to show up in your inbox with consejos (wisdom) and invitations. I said that to a loved one recently, “We show up for those we love” and it made me yearn for a connection with you! Over the years, I’ve drawn away from online for more in-person and 1-1 connection. But over the last decade, there’s been one constant in this space – There’s magic and mystery in our gatherings, whether in small groups or 1 to 1 heart-to-hearts.In addition to Lent being a holy season within my Catholic tradition, it’s been the seed or root of my personal rhythm of transformation over the years. For decades, I’d start to enter Fall with uneasiness and unrest. I imagine, looking back, that, in a way, I’d naturally mourn the loss of the long days of summer.I’ve learned to LOVE winter and revel in the deep, invisible growth I experience in this season. It’s also easier to be less outward-focused.
